1. Student Portal

Students may register or be registered by the administrator. Each end-user will have an username and password to enter his/her own portal. From here a student will have access to:

  1. myCourses > Access training and course material that use online web based training as well as self-paced tutorials and videos structured using VIP's eLearning methodology. This includes links to simulations and step-by-step instructions detailing your unique business processes.

  2. myLessonsLearned > Supporting documents that highlight relevant "lessons-learned" material. These documents have been designed to address the specific needs required by your training.

  3. myLibrary >A helpful repository of online resources for your personal and professional development

  4. myAssesments > View assigned tests and surveys required by your company.

  5. myProgress > View your own reports and overall progress.

  6. myMessages > View and interact with other colleges on a message board that can also be converted in to an advanced Mentoring Program.

2. Administration Portal

Trainers and Managers will have access to 10 main portals.

  1. Students Management > This portal allows you to add a student creating a unique user name and password for each student. You can also view/edit students displaying a list of all registered students in this department portal. You may sort the list in ascending or descending order by either name, last name, email, user name, password or date registered to easily locate any student. Here you can also deactivate students if necessary.

  2. Course Management > From here you can review, edit and delete course descriptions, create on-line courses from customized templates, add assessments, assigned courses based on specialties and more.

  3. Lessons Learned > After uploading files you can easily add, view and edit Lessons Learned allowing you to create an outline description and assign them to end-users.

  4. Change Management > Your portal for communication, knowledge support and performance. From here you will be able to communicate project news and training content to end-users via HTML Newsletter. You can manage the library of documents and add/create/edit and assign surveys that will help you measure your projects needs, progress and successes offering a better, tangible and faster way of measuring your ROI.

  5. Reports Management > By Course/Student/Scores you can view, copy and export all the reports you need.

  6. Virtual Classroom > You may use our simple virtual classroom tool or link your existing desktop application software to your portal. You can also schedule classrooms with an easy-to-use calendar.

  7. Web-based Training Tool > Our expert Instructional Designers can help you develop templates, content, exercises and more using your tool of preference. We link your existing tool or recommend the best one for your needs.

  8. Trainer's Help and Support > You will be able to view a list of the most relevant questions and answers that will explain how to use this portal and all the benefits that it will bring your company's eLearning and Change Management strategy in any IT implementation or HR initiative. This portal also comes with a web-based training course that will teach trainers the principles of adult learning and how to apply them while training end-users virtually. The trainers will learn how to become effective instructors, handle difficult situations remotely and how, why and when not to evaluate.

  9. Message Board > This Message Board portal will allow trainers and administrators to post one way general messages to the end-users of this community. It can also be upgraded to become a forum or a mentoring program.

Certification and VIP-LMS™ Reports

A Proprietary Certificate of completion will be awarded to every student approved by the administrator, that has successfully completed a course or a series of courses needed for a certification.

Students and Administrators Suggested Workstation Configuration

The following are recommendations based on tested configurations of VIP's portal. Students and Administrator workstations must use high-speed internet connection and enable JavaScript and Pop-up windows in the browser settings. These settings can be modified by following the menu Tools > Internet Options. Below are the workstation configuration:

  • Intel Pentium® 500 MHz processor or equivalent (minimum)
  • 256 MB RAM (minimum)
  • Microsoft Windows® 2000 SP4, Microsoft Windows® XP Professional or Home Edition SP2, or Microsoft Windows® Vista Business or Home Premium Edition
